Claire Rosslyn WilsonI am a writer, editor and researcher. I have over ten years professional experience in the arts and resource development and I have worked on projects in Thailand, Singapore, Spain and Australia. I am passionate about the capacity of the arts to create deeper understanding between people across cultures, and this is an on-going theme that drives my professional and creative work.

I am a regular writer for Art Radar and Culture360 my work has appeared in publications including Coolabah, Writers Bloc, Tongues Multilingual Magazine and The Flying Inkpot Reviews. I am a creative writing editor at Right Now and a poetry reader for Overland. I have also co-written Freelancing in the Creative Industries (Oxford University Press, 2015), a resource that guides emerging creative freelancers through the practical and creative aspects of starting out in the ever-changing arts sector.

I have worked with organisations on their publications at various stages of the development; from concept development to commissioning and editing the content, as well as coordinating the design process. I have worked on a number of projects with organisations such as the Asia-Europe Foundation, International Organisation for Migration, Diaspora Action Australia, Experimenta, Multicultural Arts Victoria, RMIT Design Archives and Deakin University. I am available to work on projects ranging from managing and editing annual reports to working with organisations on research publications.

I am currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra, Australia. My thesis examines creative writing as a tool for understanding the process of settling in to a new country. In 2014 I undertook a creative writing fellowship at the Wheeler Centre Melbourne and I have participated in the Emerging Writers Festival (2016, 2017), the Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival (2016) and Noted Writers Festival (2017). I have had my poetry published in Australian journals including Australian Poetry Journal, Westerly, Axon, Coolabah, Transnational Literature, Right Now, Voiceworks, fourW, Visible Ink, Verge and Offset.
