Disturbance Zones is a suite of videopoems that explore ways in which our natural and social environments are becoming increasing unstable. Each videopoem takes as its starting point one issue of radical change (such as extreme beach erosion in western Victoria or the increasing number of refugees), which are then developed visually, sonically and poetically. The videopoems will be presented fortnightly throughout 2020 on Vimeo.
Although disturbance and change is part of the natural cycle, this is now happening on an unprecedented scale, forever changing the environment in which we live. This series explores the realities and the metaphor of disturbance throughout our environment and social lives.
Keep an eye on the Vimeo channel for new videopoems.
