In 2019 Thai arts manager Sasiwimon Wongjarin and I established the Studio 88 Artist Residency in Thailand. Studio 88 is based in the northern Thai town of Doi Saket, just 30 minutes from the creative city of Chiangmai. It is driven by a desire to connect creative thinkers and contribute to local communities and provides space and time to experiment with the process of creating.
Although based in Doi Saket, Studio 88 has an international outreach. Studio 88 believes in the importance of connecting international creative thinkers with local communities, and we aim to foster this connection through meaningful and tangible projects. As the project develops we will add more programs with local and international artists.
There are calls throughout the year, and you can see the latest information and how to apply here.
