The short videopoem ‘Threads’ (2022) explores the distance inserted between a mother and her child as she reclaims more of herself.

While it might at first seem like a breaking, the disentanglement is also a time for mending the part of her that had been neglected. Throughout the videopoem the accumulating objects allude to both the absence of the child and the weight of the socially perceived necessities of childhood. 

This is a collaboration between poet Claire Rosslyn Wilson and researcher, composer, and sound designer Ross McLennan.
